ARMA: Redefining Sports Gloves with Cutting-edge Innovation

A Story of Twin Minds and Revolutionary Technology

ARMA Co-Founders Xavior and Ilyaas Motley grew up in Dayton, where the Wright brothers once dared to defy gravity. Like Orville and Wilbur, the Motley twins have always been dreamers, builders, and challengers of the seemingly impossible.

“We always knew we weren’t meant to follow—we were meant to create,” said Xavior Motley. “In high school, we sold bracelets, modified gaming systems, and fixed iPhones. Now, we’re pioneering technology that will change the way athletes experience their gear.”

Four Hands, Two Minds, One Vision: Reinventing the Game

The Motleys understand first-hand just how important the right-fitting gear is to athletes. As twin defensive backs at Ohio University, they knew that the type of gear they really needed didn’t exist. They imagined the possibilities—spray-on shoes, protective formulas, and, sports gloves that could fit like an extension of the body–that fused performance with personalization.

Through years of experimentation, Xavior and Ilyaas refined their vision and pushed  beyond the limitations of conventional manufacturing to create something entirely new.

ARMA’s Game-Changing Printing Technology

At the heart of ARMA’s capabilities is its proprietary printing machine, a first-of-its-kind technology that personalizes football gloves with surgical precision.

“Athletes demand peak performance, but they also want to express themselves,” Ilyaas Motley said. “We built a machine that does both—enhancing grip, durability, and design, with advanced formulary materials completing the glove within 10 seconds.”

Unlike traditional glove manufacturing, ARMA’s process enables real-time customization, giving players not just a glove that grips harder, lasts longer, and moves like a second skin, but gloves that can be an extension of the athlete’s identity with customer features, logo, branding, and more.

“When we played football, we performed at our highest level together,” said Xavior. “Now, we’re pushing boundaries in business the same way, side by side.”

Beyond Gloves: A Solution that Stretches across Industries

With support from Rev1 Ventures, ARMA is accelerating towards commercialization, raising capital, and charting a path toward industry domination. ARMA’s team of chemists and engineers are developing proprietary formulations and printing processes.

“The gloves are just the beginning,” Ilyaas said. “We’re not here to just make another product. We’re here to shift what’s possible for athletes, for customization, for performance itself.”

From the streets of Dayton to the future of sports technology, the Motleys have never been afraid to dream. Now, they’re turning those dreams into reality. One perfectly tailored glove at a time.
