About Kim Garland
Kim has held a variety of roles over his 35-year career in insurance. Most recently, he was CEO of State Auto Insurance Company, where he helped lead the integration of State Auto into Liberty Mutual after Liberty’s acquisition of State Auto. Kim was also the Managing Director of State Auto Labs, State Auto’s Corporate Venture Capital Fund. Prior to State Auto, Kim was at AIG where he was part of the leadership team that restructured AIG after the financial crisis. His roles at AIG included being the CEO and COO of United Guaranty, AIG’s mortgage insurance company, and being the Chief Product Officer for AIG’s Global Consumer Business.
