Rev1 Hosts Investor Showcase and Community Celebration of Innovation Impact
Last Thursday, we celebrated one of the year’s most exciting milestones: Our Investor Showcase. This live pitch event brought together accredited investors and a dozen high-potential startups, nine of which are recent graduates of Rev1’s Customer to Capital program, a 14-week course which provides the training and resources to help entrepreneurs validate their markets and find first customers.
Following the Investor Showcase, hundreds of participants from Central Ohio’s innovation ecosystem came together in a community celebration at Rev1 Labs.

US Positronix: Commercializing a low-power, high-load magnetic levitation and propulsion system with an initial focus on warehouse automation solutions.
Each event—the showcase and then the celebration—were all about strengthening the critical connections that early-stage entrepreneurs need to succeed and are the latest iteration of the unique phenomenon that we call our Backyard Effect. The Backyard Effect took hold for us a few years ago when we committed to building a robust and self-sustaining entrepreneurial ecosystem here in Central Ohio.
Last Thursday drew in not only portfolio companies and co-investors, but also corporate innovators; strategic partners from OSU, Nationwide Children’s, and other centers of innovation; vetted service providers, and state, county, and city officials—all collaborators in and contributors to our Backyard Effect.
The more we band together, the more effective we become.
To date, Rev1 has supported more than 1,400 companies that have raised over $2.1B, including $262MM pre-seed/seed and $463MM Series A capital. The Investor Showcase underscores the critical role of early-stage investment for creating scalable startups here in Ohio, rather than forcing startups to relocate to the Coasts to gain the support and capital they need to get started and scale.
Our showcase and community celebration marked a milestone, not a finish line. We are thrilled to see more promising companies in our Concept to Customer Bootcamp this week, and we will soon welcome the fall cohort for Customer to Capital in August.
