Startup Week 2018: Celebrating Diversity in Entrepreneurship
Techstars Startup Week™
Of all the great things about Spring, Techstars Startup Week™ is a favorite. This year, it’s scheduled May 7– 11.
This free, five-day celebration of our community is led by local entrepreneurs and powered by Chase for Business℠. The location hub for the event, Chase Basecamp, is in the heart of our community at Vue Columbus. Stop by any time from 9:00 a.m. – 6 p.m. during Startup Week™ for refreshments, networking, and to listen to some amazing advice and stories from and for entrepreneurs.
<BLK HCK>, an events-based media platform for startups, minority entrepreneurs, innovations, and technology enthusiasts committed to creating more inclusion and diversity, is the lead local organizer of Startup Week™ Columbus 18. As a community, our goal this year is to be deliberate about building diversity and inclusion into every program track.
There will be dozens of activities all around the city, including happy hours, speakers, and panelists. Here’s the current schedule of events—it’s being expanded almost daily so be sure to check back.
The Ohio State University and Rev1 are hosting “The Outpost” at Rev1 Labs, 1275 Kinnear Road to provide a deeper dive into each day’s Basecamp theme.
Our format will be topic-driven; we’ll get down into the nitty-gritty. Our agenda will include an OSU focus hour that is specifically directed to more seasoned executives and serial entrepreneurs who may be interested in leading a spinout company.
